08 Days Trip to Gilgit Baltistan
Detailed Tour Itinerary
Arrive at the Islamabad international airport.
Day 01: Islamabad – Gilgit
- Fly from Islamabad international airport to Gilgit airport
- Pick up from the airport and drive to Karimabad, enroute stop for lunch at Nagar valley
- Overnight at Karimabad
- Optional hike to the valley – Depending on arrival time
Day 02: Hunza valley, Hopper glacier
- Early morning breakfast and drive through the cherry blossoms to Hopper valley
- Optional glacier hike
- Altit & Baltit fort and lunch stop in Karimabad
- Overnight at Karimabad
Day 03: Attabad lake, Passu cones
- Early morning breakfast and drive to the Attabad lake
- Optional canoeing or boat ride in the lake
- Glacier view point trek
- Overnight at Passu
- Optional hike to the nearby peaks and lakes
Day 04: Hussaini Suspension Bridge, Passu
- Early morning breakfast and drive to the Hussaini Suspension Bridge
- Cross the bridge or hike around the area
- Yak burgers lunch stop (Must for people who have not tried Yak meat)
- Overnight at Passu
- Optional hike to the nearby peaks and lakes
Day 05: Shimshal
- Early morning breakfast and drive to Shimshal
- Late lunch and check-in at Shimshal Guest houses
- Explore the town
- Overnight at Shimshal
Day 06: Tagham Festival
- Early start to attend the Tagham festival and have breakfast with the entire village
- Celebrate and witness the vibrant culture and traditions of the Shimshalis
- Drive to the Naltar Valley OR Gilgit to explore Bazaar and do some shopping / Gulmit music school (Bulbulik Music school / heritage center) and local carpet center
Day 07: Fairy Meadows
- Early morning breakfast and drive to the Fairy meadows
- Rent the local jeep drivers to head to the Fairy meadows
- Easy 3 hour hike to reach the Fairy meadow cottages
- Overnight at fairy meadows
- Optional: Horses available at additional fee for those who don’t want to hike
Day 08: Fairy Meadows, Kargah Buddha
- Hike back from Fairy meadows
- Drive to the Gilgit airport to fly back to Islamabad
- End of the Tour – Depart from Islamabad to home countries
- Optional: Those staying an extra night can join for a dinner in Islamabad
